He came up with the original leaf tee design and sold a few shirts to the homies. He had a vision of an environmental renaissance and saw a future where hemp was widely used. He went off to Boulder, CO when I was 17 to study business. Zafer died from a heroin overdose in April of 2016 and left my family in shock. Overnight I had lost my brother and best friend. Within that first week I remember thinking that I could take Hempsmith and continue the vision.
