Why Hemp?

Hemp is a super plant.

Known for its low impact and restorative properties, hemp grows quickly, producing lots of material in a little time.

The hemp stalk has all sorts of uses.

It creates a durable fiber that can be used for textiles. And the outer bark can be shred up for building material and other applications.

Industrial Hemp grows a lot like bamboo: tall and thin. Besides the distinct Cannabis Leaf, it actually looks nothing like its cousin Marijuana that grows more like a bush.

The extensive root system of hemp takes CO2 from the atmosphere and sequesters it in the soil.

At Hempsmith we use hemp fiber to demonstrate a new way of being.

It goes beyond our fresh designs and clothing. We are using a renewable material that can play a big part in mitigating the climate crisis.

We represent a shift in culture towards one of restoration and abundance.

Bring Hemp Home.
